Week 1 (April 6-10)

Hi Parents/Guardians & Students:

It was nice to connect with most of you on the phone over the past week and to gain a better understanding of how you are doing. The school district is currently in the process of developing a plan on how learning will take place while school is closed. Until we have a more concrete learning plan, I encourage my students to do the following homework this week:

-Read a novel of their choice – 30 minutes a day.

-Daily Journal – 15 minutes a day.

-Record events

-Day to day activities, fears, feelings

-A record of your experience during COVID

-Math – play online math games – 30 minutes a day.

-Login Information: Class code: 0520F5 (Instructions below)

-Physical Health – Spend 30 minutes a day getting some exercise.

Once we get more detail from the district about the online platforms we are able to use I will be providing more detailed lessons, instruction and assessment. For now, I encourage you to build structure at home by working on the general subjects discussed above. I will be in touch as soon as I have more information. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Guido Durfeld
